I was trying to describe this scene from "Extras" to Lisa, but maybe seeing it is the best way. "I've seen everything."

I've been tagged! Yay! I haven't had anything to write about so here we go!
Report on 7 Songs I am Into Right Now: (in no particular order)
1. The Golden Years by David Bowie
This is one that probably drives Kane crazy, but it's on so many of my playlists lately. I like to listen to it and think about all the stupid, fun stuff I did in high school and college, my "Golden Years" if you will. Plus David Bowie is King in my universe.
2. I Never Loved A Man by The Commitments
I recently downloaded the Commitments soundtrack, which takes me straight back to the summer of 1993, when Lisa and I had that soundtrack on constant rotation. We went camping that summer and spent hours one night in Massachusetts swinging on the swings and singing "Destination Anywhere". I would have put that song on this list, but I picked the one I went with because it was sung by may favorite "Commitment-ette" Natalie, and I always wished I could sing like her. She rocks.
3. Slowly by Ann-Margret
They played this one on the Kate episode of "Lost", and I had to download it right away. I love the way the whole song sounds, I can tell why guys used to think Ann-Margret was a babe now. Before I was like, "You mean that old slit from Newsies??".
4. Home by Depeche Mode
Just a nice, long, beautiful song to listen to and zone out. I like letting my mind wander to this one.
5. Prayer to Saint Francis by Sarah Maclaclaclaclaclaclan
A good song about forgiveness and acceptance, of letting go. Some recurring themes in my life.
6. Goonies by Cyndi Lauper
Cyndi is so cool. I just have to smile and sing along with this song. I love to blast this one in the car. Goonies ARE good enough!!!Plus, does ANYBODY sing like she can? Her voice is just crazy.
7. Everybody Knows by Concrete Blonde
I actually like this version better than Leonard Cohen's. Concrete Blonde has been one of my favorite bands forever. Also, yet another song from a movie soundtrack. "Pump Up The Volume". Oh, Christian Slater, where did it all go wrong?
I just realized, not ONE of my songs are current. I just don't like what music is nowadays. Nothing grabs me, it all sounds the same. I like music with character.
Now it's my turn to tag someone! Kane, Robert, Diana, Matt, Lani, Erin, tag---you're it!
Before you go though, look at this cat. Look at it! Someone stuffed it into a sock! I think it's a sock. Maybe a bootie. Look at him! Lookatem!!!! Awwwww.

Here's me at age 8, playing my favorite childhood game, Lil' Shoplifter. You can read all about it on Lisa's blog!
Now gimme all your money or I'll slit your throat! Weeeeee!
